update 1 for project seven

i never got to blog last class, but i started to make my synths. the first one has a low pass filter and a little chorus. the second is a sine wave with a low pass also. today i made two more synths, one for lead and one for bass. The lead has a high pass filter and the bass a low pass. i added "bassdeepsq" and changed pitches to match the loops. i had a different b section last class but now that is deleted to make a happier dance beat sounding all-around loop. i played around with the riff machine and learned that if you write a bass part, it will think up a lead part that sounds great with the rest of the loop. im not sure if i really like how the intro works but it soundsbetter to me as the loop progresses. so for now i think i am done and will play around with other synths

update

today we learned about what we are going to do in project 7. I'm not too happy with my synth sound now so i'm going to definitely change it next class. and ask mr. Rabuse about panning, and volume effects because i forgot about how to use them. making my own synth is going to be difficult but i am going to make sure mine is jst right for my song.

project seis sytrus

This is my sytrus loop. i spent a good week really finding the sound that i liked and at one point my loop sounded like it should be in pokemon. at first i had all my channels running through riff machine with no bass. my loop sounded too shrill and busy. so i toned it down(literally) and added bass. with the guidance of Mr. Rabuse i found that simple patterns all add up to something big and make a cool blend. so with this project i tried to blend everything together and keep it "central". hope you enjoy!
